Terms & Conditions.
Please ensure you have read and understood the following terms and conditions.
General
1.1. These terms and conditions govern the use of the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park, a dog exercise field enclosure. This Agreement and these Terms shall be construed in accordance with English law, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
1.2. By using the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3. If users are found continuously not adhering to the field rules/Terms and Conditions, they will unfortunately be prevented from using this facility.
1.4. The Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park has permission to send email and SMS message (*Message and data rates may apply. One message per appointment.) reminders containing the gate code and any relevant information about your booking.
1.6. We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services or how we do business – for example when we add new services or update our pricing. Any variations so made should be deemed to be incorporated in these conditions.
1.7. If it should transpire that a particular term is not valid or enforceable, this will not affect any other terms.
1.8. Rural Inc Ltd reserve the right to alter the pricing structure for use of the field without notice.
Use of the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park
2.1. The Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park is available for use by individuals who have booked and paid for access to the field. You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk, and agree not to hold ‘Rural Inc Ltd’, its owners or staff responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends, your vehicles or your dogs arising from your use of the field. The field is a large outdoor space, and contains areas of uneven/ stony/ muddy/ wet ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, has overhanging branches from trees or hedges around the edges which may fall or have fallen and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside. Due to its nature as an open field we cannot be held responsible for the activity or any noise from neighbouring fields and areas as these are out of our control, this can occasionally include noise from clay shooting on neighbouring farmland, as an example.
2.2. Users must not arrive before the start time of their scheduled booking and must vacate the field before the end of their booking. This minimises traffic and dog interaction. These fields are mainly used by nervous and/or reactive dogs so please be mindful of this rule in particular.
2.3. Users must ensure the field enclosure gates are closed/locked behind them whether entering or exiting the enclosure and whether there is someone waiting to use the field. This is important and ensures everyone has booked a slot and is aware of their access code.
2.4. You cannot extend your session for any reason (e.g to compensate for a late arrival / exit).
2.5. Users must keep their dogs on a leash when entering and exiting the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park enclosure.
2.6. Users must clean up after their dogs and dispose of any dog waste in the provided bins. No bins are provide for general waste, you must take any rubbish away with you. There are no toilets or washing facilities on site.
2.7. Smoking, vaping, BBQ’s or fires are not permitted inside the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park or car parking area.
2.8. The booking is personal to the Hirer and may not be transferred or sublet.
2.9. The Hirer shall ensure that noise nuisance is kept to an acceptable level while using the field.
2.10. Rural Tails Ltd is not liable for the acts or omissions of third parties carrying out activities on any adjacent land.
2.11. All equipment, toys etc are the property of the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park and must not be removed from the field. Any equipment is used at your own risk.
2.12. There is no provision of lighting at the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park
2.13. Any activities or equipment in the field are to be used at your own risk including items that may have been previously left behind of lost by previous users, we accept no responsibility to users or dogs for any accidents while using these items. Equipment is checked regularly to ensure its safety. Please ensure you and your dogs are using the field and its contents in a way that is consistent with fitness, age (young or old dogs) and physical capability to prevent any harm. If necessary please seek advice from professionals before using the activities to ensure it is suitable for your dog – the intention is for them to be enriching and to improve fitness and flexibility, spatial awareness and provide your dogs with an additional fun sensory experience. Please use any equipment you find respectfully and leave it as you found it.
Public Liability Insurance
3.1. The Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park has public liability insurance, which covers users in the event of injury or death.
3.2. Users are responsible for any damage caused by their dogs, and must report any incidents to the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park immediately.
3.3. Any damage to personal property, including dogs, is at your own risk. the Rural inc Ltd does not accept any liability for the death of, or injury to, any person or dog using the facility.
3.4. The site is a field, and the surface could be uneven ground, vegetation, branches, stones and other potential hidden hazards. The ground condition will vary depending on the season and/or weather (i.e. muddy and/or wet under foot), so please take care.
3.5. Please be aware that the dog field is a natural environment and as such has many of the hazards which you might find on any other walk - this includes, but is not limited to, lost or discarded objects or vegetation which may be harmful to dogs.
3.6. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Children are not permitted to climb on or play on anything in the field including but not limited to, tyre stacks, benches, tyre tunnel, log jump etc. The field is not intended as a playground for children.
3.7. CCTV is in operation. The purpose of CCTV monitoring in the field is to deter crime, assist in providing protection to people and property, assist in overall security and safety and increase the likelihood of identification of person(s) who may breach the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park policies and/or commit criminal activities.
Dogs
4.1. You should ensure that you take all necessary precautions and that your dog(s) always remains within eyesight. Dogs should not be left unattattended.
4.2. We operate on a ‘Scoop Your Own Poop’ policy. Please clear up after your dog using the poo bin provided near the gates. If you see any dog poo, that isn’t yours, we would appreciated it if you could please pick it up and report to
4.3. You must not bring your dog to to the field if they, or any other household pets, have shown any signs of sickness (including diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or any behavious which is unusual for your dog, in the previous 48hrs.
4.4. Users must ensure their dogs are up to date with all vaccinations before using the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park
4.5. If your dog has become immediately unwell in any way, during or after using the field please inform the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park as soon as possible. If your dog is unwell in the field, please do your best to clear it up and contact us if this is not possible - disease can be transmitted through diarrhorea and vomit so it is essential for all users health and safety. Rural Tails accepts no responsibility for any illness that may come on following a visit to the field.
4.6. Visitors and users must report any accident, injury or incident to us immediately by calling 07824 874609 or 07904 976085.
4.7. Dogs must carry 3rd party liability insurance - you may have this as part of your pet insurance or household policy however if you are unsure, The Dog's Trust have an affordable membership which will provide comprehesive 3rd party liability insurance alomgside other benefits.
4.8. There is a limit of 8 dogs alowed per booking
Bookings & Payments
5.1. All bookings should be made via our online booking system. It is not possible to accept bookings over the phone.
5.2. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received. This also applies to any deferred bookings
5.3. It is a requirement of the booking system that you agree to the terms and conditions before being able to proceed with your booking. If you are making a booking on behalf of someone else it is your responsibility to ensure that all parties have read and agree to the terms and conditions.
Cancellations/Refunds
6.1. The Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park does not offer cancellations however, you can reschedule up 24 hours before your booking by clicking the link within your confirmation email or by contacting
6.2. Refunds are only offered in special circumstances – please email us at
6.3. We do not offer cancellations in the form of refunds or rescheduling due to mud/water in the field as a result of wet weather unless under extreme weather circumstances and at the discretion of the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park.
6.4. We reserve the right to close the field due to special circumstances (such as in the event extreme conditions or for the purpsoe of maintenance and safety.) In these circumstances any affected bookings will be offered a refund or the opportunity to reschedule (subject to availability)
Fencing
7.1. We aim to provide a safe environment for you to excercise your dog and regulary monitor and maintain the field and fencing.
7.2. The fencing is approximately 1.8m in height however this can vary slightly where ground is uneven. The gates in the dog field are fully meshed and 1.8m high. The fence is made from 2.5mm diameter heavy galvanised steel wire with 19 line wires having 5cm between stay wires
7.3. Holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the facilities, please let us know immediately so that we can make others aware and make efforts to repair as soon as possible. We cannot however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping the field whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not.
Escapees
8.1. Although the fences and gates are designed to minimise the chance of escape, you must assess whether the boundaries are suitable for your dog(s) before letting them out of your car or off the lead. Rural Tails Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for dogs that escape the paddock.
8.2. Please keep a watchful eye on your dog at all times and discourage your dogs from digging. Please report and fill in any holes your dog’s make.
Parking and Access
9.1. Please park within the field on the hard surfaced area and clear of the gateway. Visitors should refrain from parking on the grassed area, verge or field access unless otherwise instructed to do so. The parking area is capable of comfortably accommodating up to 3 vehicles.
9.2. Your vehicle(s) or any property brought to Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park is done so at your own risk. Rural Tails Ltd cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage, or loss incurred to vehicles or their contents and valuables.
9.3. Your booking confirmation email will include a code which will enabe you to access the exercise field enclosure. Please ensure your dog remains in the lead until you are safety inside the enclosure and the enclosure gate is secured.
Waste and refuse
10.1. Please ensure you pick and bag your dog waste and place it in the dog waste bins provided.
10.2. The dog waste bins are for dog waste ONLY. Do not use the dog waste bins for domestic waste - our waste collection services will not collect contaminated bins.
10.3. No bins are provide for general waste, you must take any rubbish away with you. There are no toilets or washing facilities on site.
Family, Friends and Children
11.1. You may bring other people with you to the field under the following conditions
- No more that 3 vehicles per booking
- No more than 10 people per booking
- No more than 8 dogs per booking
- All users must be aware of the terms and conditions. The hirer assumes responsibility for the safety, behaviour and actions of all dogs and attendees.
- Children under the age of 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. The field is not intended as a playground for children, the equipment and structures are not child safe.
Business Users
12.1. If you wish to use the dog field for business use please ensure you contact us prior to placing a booking in order to provide a copy of your public liability insurance
Exempt Dog Breeds
13.1. Dog breeds that are banned under the Dangerous Dog Act may use the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park off lead and unmuzzled providing all of the conditions specified by the Government are met:
- Registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED)
- Insured for Third Party Public Liability
- Handled/walked on a 1-2-1 basis by someone 18 years old or over. (If the household has more than 1 dog (including more than 1 banned breed dog), they can come to the field together. There is no requirement for an extra handler).
- Neutered in line with Government rules
- In addition, the gate MUST be padlocked from the inside and the dog must only be off lead and unmuzzled when the gate is closed and locked.
- Multiple dogs can use the paddock together, but must all be from the same household.
