We want to be sure that all our visitors are able to enjoy their visit.

Here's our Top 10 key points for consideration -

1. Keeping time

Please ensure that you arrive and leave within your designated timeslot. The next visitor might be feeling a little less social and may want to avoid any interaction. Please respect the needs of other dogs and their owners.

Early Arrival

We encourage you NOT to arrive before your start time however if you do, we ask that you stay in your vehicle until the previous users have vacated the field enclosure and car park.

Late Arrival

Should you arrive late, this will not alter the end time of your booking. You must still ensure that you vacate the site at the end of your booking so as not to cause any delay to subsequent customers waiting to start their booking.

2. Easy Access

We have a parking area away from the road for safe and convenient loading and unloading. Please be mindful and drive carefully when entering and exiting the area. Please ensure to keep your dog on a lead when entering or exiting the field enclosure.

3. Cleanliness is Key

A designated dog waste bin is located by the gate. Please bag up your dog waste and help us keep the park clean for everyone! The dog waste bins are for dog waste ONLY.  Please do not use the dog waste bins for domestic waste - our waste collection services will not collect contaminated bins.

4. Adventure Awaits

We ditch the manicured look for a natural wonderland at Rural Tails! Unlike other dog parks, we believe a wilder environment ignites your pup's inner explorer. We've intentionally left some areas overgrown so your dog can enjoy bounding about in the tall grass. Please bear in mind that there may be potential hazards such as uneven ground, vegetation, branches, stones etc

5. Embrace the Seasons

As a true field experience, we embrace the elements. During wetter months, the park might get muddy – that's part of the fun! We recommend bringing a towel (or two) and some wellies to keep yourself clean. There is no lighting, toilet or washing facilities on site.

6. Relaxation Station

Need a break? Our wooden shelter provides protection from the elements, while a picnic bench and dog water bowl offers a spot to unwind. We have a limited water supply so don't forget to bring your own water - just in case! Please also bear that in mind that during the winter months water supplies may be frozen.

7. Playful Perks

Beyond natural exploration, we offer fun extras like a tyres, stepping logs, and climbing frame. In spring and summer, hidden herbs add another layer of excitement for your dog's nose. The equipment and structures are not safe for children. Please don't allow your dog dig in the paddock or around the fence perimeter.

8. Friends and Family

Feel free to bring along any friends and family however please bear in mind that there is a limitaion of 8 dogs per session. Children under the age of 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

9. Safety First

CCTV monitoring is in operation to deter crime, assist in providing protection to people and for overall security and safety. Smoking, vaping, BBQ’s or fires are not permitted inside the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park enclosure or car parking area.

10. Business Use

We welcome dog walkers, dog trainers and pet professionals to have use of the Rural Tails Dog Exercise Park but ask that you have your public liability insurance. Please contact us prior to placing a booking to discuss your requirements and make any arrangments.
